Since 2010 David has been delivering advisory consulting within the IoT, ICT, cloud and VoIP sectors for international consultancy practice 151 Advisors, where he is now European Managing Director. He recently worked with Daisy Communications – the UK’s largest independent provider of business communication and IT services, offering a unified suite of services across data, voice, cloud, hosting, XaaS and mobile. Having produced a simplified portfolio of products and services that customers wanted to buy and salespeople were comfortable in selling, he took on a new assignment developing an Alliances Program to establish governance for relationships with major partner alliances including BT, Vodafone, Cisco, Mitel and Microsoft, which has resulted in significant improvements to vendor relationship management. This initial 3-month engagement ultimately extended to 3 ½ years.
Before then David advised various organisations, including an extended contract with Obsidian Compliant Solutions. This was a long and successful role as Business Advisor and member, of the senior leadership team for a start-up venture, enabling organisations to comply with new FSA, MiFID and SEC regulations. Other roles included Channel Development Consultant for NY based ISV CommonDesk LLC, developing sales channels in the UK and the US
For the four years prior to this David was Managing Director and Joint Founder of Neowave Distribution Ltd, growing the business from a standing start to a profitable business with £6 million turnover in just over 3 years, addressing a niche market in GSM mobile technology by creating new sales channels to sell products and services to public and private customers across UK. This followed his 1st global consultancy project when he was retained by a Taiwan based telecoms hardware manufacturer to carry out a European market analysis.
Earlier Sales and Leadership roles have included Sales and Marketing Director for a start-up ISV, UK General Manager of a German telecommunications manufacturer and UK Sales Manager with Ericsson, after starting his telecoms career with engineering roles within BT.
